Therapeutic Exercise as Prescribed
Stretching of specific muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments performed by a skilled physical therapist to increase the patient's ability to move more freely and naturally with decreased pain.
Based on a careful understanding of current strength, the physical therapist will work with the patient to develop a customized exercise program to balance biomechanics and improve strength.
A mechanical device is used by the physical therapist to carefully decrease compression on the spine (cervical or lumbar) to decrease joint or nerve pressure.
Heat and cold (thermal modalities), electrical stimulation (TENS and interferential current), and the delivery of topical medication with electrical current (iontophoresis) are all used to decrease pain and improve movement quality.
Programs and Services
We focus our key programs and services on evidence-based practices that have been shown to provide significant improvement in therapeutic outcomes.
The physical therapist will asses both balance (static and dynamic) and gait to increase the patient's ability to go about normal daily activities with a decreased risk of fall or injury.
Athletes aim to attain their best physical ability in their chosen sports. Kinetix PT works with athletes from many field and court sports with a special focus on endurance athletes.
